CIT is proud to announce the official posting of their first music video off the "Cinematic" album featuring the single "The Night." All show and party footage was taken from their 2012 Summer tour, which took them across the entire West coast and branched out as far East as Texas and Utah.
Shot and directed by our good buddy Ryan Coquilla. Each night he would set up multiple cameras (including a go-pro strapped to various CIT members) and compile the footage (on the road) while in between stops. An incredible one-man production crew. Good job dude!

Live 105 did an excellent review of the guys as they prepare for the final BFD competition at The Rickshaw in San Francisco. See the article here.

Yep, you heard it correctly. Case in Theory and four other local groups won Live 105's top local bands competition, thanks entirely to our friends and fans who gave us their votes. The competition started with over 140 demos sent to the music directors at Live 105 and only the top 20 were picked. From there it was a simple online voting process in which the top five would move on to the semi-final round.
So what's next? Case in Theory will be joining the other groups for a showcase showdown at The Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on Tuesday, May 31st. The winner from that will open the local artist stage at BFD on June 5th at Shoreline Amphitheatre. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges and crowd participation.
Details will be posted as they arrive.
May is slowly becomming one of CIT's busiest months as we prepare to record drums for the new album on Memorial weekend and play back to back SF gigs the last weekend of May: One at the Asian Heritage Street Celebration, and a very special performance with Ely Buendia of Eraserheads at Slims.
We (Case in Theory) would like to personally thank each and everyone one of you for voting and helping us promote the event. We simply wouldnt have made it this far without you guys. Tank is full and we've got the pedal to the metal.

Hey All,
i don't normally like to post lyrics of our songs..but in light of the events in Japan..i really feel it's fitting to share the lyrics for our song "Cinematic." It's all about victims of natural disasters and how they cope..Our hearts and prayers go out to them all.
the storm clouds form in the corner
the storm seems to settle in
with waves crashing on the shorelines
and houses crumbling within
some may stay in and board their windows
to protect their memories and prize possessions
and some may stick to their bare essentials
and flee to the nearest shelter
and some..fall down..and pray..
say a prayer for their hearts
as they embark on a journey to stay
alive as their city crumbles to the ground
i see it in their eyes and their faces..
they're all watching their houses crumble
they're all watching in silence...
they're all watching their houses crumble
they're all watching in silence..
say a prayer for their hearts
as they embark on a journey to stay
alive as their city crumbles to the ground
i see it in their eyes and their faces..
learn the lyrics and sing alone with me on saturday...here's a link to a very old performance of the song..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDel3pYp1fE
Thanks,

Hello all!
We have a new show to add on March 12th @ Kimo's in San Francisco. Northbay peeps get ready to rock with us! Let's make this show huge!! Event page update, details and flier to come soon.
I also wanted to give you and update about the album. We finished 2nd round of mixing and are going into 3rd/final round tonight. We are doing the pre production mixing for the first time on our own and it's TOUGH!! Once we finish, we look to break them down and really figure out what we want to keep or change. At the same time, we will look into the final pieces for recording the album ie. engineer, studio, producers, etc.
We hope you're as excited as we are. More updates to come!!!
-Posads (that'll be my nickname for the band..get used to it and love it!!)
If you missed us, Citabria and HBSB last time around, you definitely won't want to again. It was seriously an awesome night of music and this time Helen Earth Band from San Diego joins the bill. Check the EVENTS page for more info and be sure to respond to the FaceBook invite, once we put it together.
-Cheers - Jonathan
On 2.05 and 2.06, we went into ARA Studio's in San Francisco to record our pre-production for our debut full length due out later this year. We went in on Saturday and recorded 16 tracks live. We proably played each song at a minimum of 2 times each, which means we played at least 40-45 songs live that day. it was exhausting, but a ton of fun. We'll be working on finalizing those songs and keep you updated on when and where we plan to record the actual album.
